Introduction/ recommendation letter from:

  • One of the Chambers of Commerce and Industries, government of India;
  • Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India;
  • Export Promotion Council of India; or Reference number from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Afghanistan.

Registration certificate of the company from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India:

  • Income tax documents of the last three years;
  • Letter from the company addressed to the embassy, introducing the business man for visa issuance;
  • Invitation letter from the local partner or prospect local partner company in Afghanistan;
  • Copy of the license (JAWAZ) of the local partner or prospect local partner company in Afghanistan.

Tourist visa is issued for up to 90 days, whereas business visa is issued from 30 days to 365 days. The validity and stay period is decided by the Embassy on the basis of the purpose of your visit and visa type. It can be issued for one, two or multiple entries.

One must carefully note what kind of entry is permitted. If the visa reads a single entry, its holder can only enter and leave Gambia once whereas, with multiple entries, he/she can enter or leave more than once.

The earliest date to apply for a Gambia visa is one month before the date of travel to the country. In order to allow for adequate time for visa processing, it is advisable that all visa applications are submitted ten days, prior to travelling.

The Immigration Officer at the Entry point may refuse a holder of visa to enter, if he is satisfied that the holder is unable to fulfil Immigration entry requirements or if the presence of such person or visitors in the Republic of Gambia would be contrary to the National Interests.

Yes, the Embassy will stamp the visa in the original passport. Therefore, two blank pages are required in the passport. Your passport should also be valid for minimum six months beyond the intended stay.
