ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NICARAGUA VISA
To be eligible for a visa to visit Nicaragua, you must meet the following criteria:
- Passport
You must have a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your departure date and has at least one blank visa page. If you have multiple nationalities, you must bring passports for all of them.
- Travel documents
You must have proof of onward and return flights, and all documents required for your next destination.
- Purpose of travel
You must have documents that show the purpose of your trip, such as a business cover letter, conference registration, or other support letter.
- Funds
You must have enough funds to support yourself and any dependents during your stay.
- Health
You must meet the minimum health requirements set by the authorities. You will be checked for medical fitness upon arrival and quarantined if you show any signs of illness.
- Criminal record
You must have a clean criminal record and be of good character. You may need to provide a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC).
- Yellow fever vaccination
You must have a yellow fever vaccination that was administered at least ten days before your departure

- 2 Scanned recent colour photograph. (Photo Specification);
- 2 Visa Application forms: completed and signed
- Personal Covering letter: explaining purpose of travel to the country
- Original Bank Statement: stamped & updated for last 3 months with bank seal
- Air tickets: proof of return flight tickets from and back to your home country
- Hotel reservation: proof of accommodation for your entire stay
- Travel Itinerary: day-wise plan outlining all elements of the trip
FAQ OF NICARAGUA
It is possible to extend the intended stay against an extra charge for each day of stay.
If you happen to stay longer than the approved duration, you may be required to pay a fine and face deportation or a travel ban to the Nicaragua for a certain period of time.
Yes. Indian passport holders having a valid visa issued by USA, UK, Schengen or Canada can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days.
The Embassy of Nicaragua, New Delhi, has the final call when it comes to a Nicaragua visa rejection. If your application is rejected or is granted for a shorter period, the authorities’ decision is final and no refund will be issued.
