Eligibility Criteria for a Denmark Visa

To be eligible for a Denmark visa, Indian applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Valid Passport

Your passport must:
✔ Be valid for at least six months beyond your intended departure date.
✔ Have been issued within the last 10 years.
✔ Contain at least two blank pages for visa stamps.

2. Travel Insurance

You must have Schengen travel insurance covering
✔ Emergency medical treatment and repatriation costs.

3. Proof of Funds

You need to demonstrate financial stability to cover your stay in Denmark:

  • Short-term.
  • Longer stay (more than 30 days

4. Proof of Accommodation

You must provide evidence of where you will stay during your trip, such as:
✔ Hotel reservation or cruise booking.
✔ Invitation letter from a host in Denmark (for family visits).

5. Proof of Travel

A confirmed round-trip flight itinerary is required to show your intended travel dates.

6. Purpose of Stay

You must submit documents supporting the reason for your visit, such as:

FAQ OF DENMARK VISA

Extending the visa does not fall within the competence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or consulates. In justified cases, the visa can be extended by the office of Aliens Police. The stay cannot be extended for the period of stay more than 90 days. More information on the extension of the visas can be obtained by the Directorate of the Aliens Police

In case of same purpose of stay, the applicant is entitled to submit both applications for Schengen and long-term visa in case the purpose of stay is employment.

The application is decided by the relevant consulate of the Denmark. The processing time of the application is 15 calendar days. This time can be extended for up to 30 days and in exceptional cases for up to 60 days. The decision of the consulate is based on the presented supporting documents and the interview with the applicant.
