Eligibility Criteria for a France Visa
To apply for a France visa from India, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Valid Passport
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure from France.
It must have been issued within the last 10 years.
Ensure your passport has at least two blank pages for visa stamps.

You must have valid travel insurance
The insurance must cover medical emergencies, hospitalization, and repatriation.

4. Proof of Accommodation
You must provide confirmation of your stay in France through:
Hotel booking confirmation.
Cruise voucher (if applicable).
Invitation letter from a host in France (for personal or business visits).
5. Proof of Travel
A confirmed flight itinerary, including arrival and return tickets, is required.
6. Purpose of Stay
You need to submit supporting documents based on the purpose of your visit:
Tourism: Travel itinerary, hotel bookings.
Business: Invitation letter from a French company.
Study: Admission letter from a French educational institution.
Family/Friends Visit: Invitation letter from your host in France.
7. Biometric Information
If this is your first Schengen visa application, you must provide biometric data (fingerprints and photo) in person.
8. Additional Supporting Documents
Completed France visa application form (signed by the applicant).
Recent passport-size photographs (as per Schengen visa specifications).
Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the past three years.
Bank statements for the last three months with bank seal & signature.
Salary slips (for employed applicants).
Business registration documents (for self-employed applicants).
Important Notes:

If you have a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, you do not need a separate France visa.

FAQ OF FRANCE VISA
Extending the visa does not fall within the competence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or consulates. In justified cases, the visa can be extended by the office of Aliens Police. The stay cannot be extended for the period of stay more than 90 days. More information on the extension of the visas can be obtained by the Directorate of the Aliens Police
In case of same purpose of stay, the applicant is entitled to submit both applications for Schengen and long-term visa in case the purpose of stay is employment.
The application is decided by the relevant consulate of the France. The processing time of the application is 15 calendar days. This time can be extended for up to 30 days and in exceptional cases for up to 60 days. The decision of the consulate is based on the presented supporting documents and the interview with the applicant.
