Documents required for Maldives Visa:

- Original Passport with at least 6 months validity and minimum 3 blank pages + all old passports if any
- 2 Scanned recent colour photograph. (Photo Specification);
- Confirmed return or onward flight tickets
- Accommodation proof (hotel reservation or invitation letter if visiting someone in Maldives)
- Invitation letter from host company (for business visa)
- Have enough funds to cover the expenses for duration of the stay in Maldives (Approx. US$50 per day)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
In order to enter Maldives the Indian nationals visiting Maldives as a tourist do not require any pre-arrival visa. A free Maldives Tourist Visa which is valid for approximately ninety days is issued to Indian nationals on arriving at the Male airport.
Travelers must meet the following criteria:
- Should possess a valid passport and;
- Have a valid ticket to continue the journey out of Maldives;
- Have enough funds to cover the expenses for the duration of the stay in Maldives (US$100 + $50 dollars per day) or;
- Confirmation of reservation in a Tourist Resort or a Hotel.
- Invitation letter and any additional original documents to supplement your purpose of visit (for business travelers).
A Tourist Visa allows you to stay in the Maldives for 30 days, but it may be extended for another 60-day period.
The full 30-day visa is not a right of the passenger to claim, but lies at the discretion of the Immigration to issue not more than thirty days and any period less than thirty days.
