Indian nationals are required to obtain visas before traveling to Tonga for tourism purposes. Aside from the valid visa, Indians are also required to present passports with a remaining validity of at least 6 months beyond the date of departure from Tonga, onward or return tickets, and evidence of sufficient funds for their stay in the territory in order to be allowed to enter Tonga.
The eVisa is valid for single entry, good for 30 days from the date of issue, for a stay up to the expiration date listed on the visa. The visitor’s visa issued to travelers is usually valid for 30 days. Indians are advised that it is illegal to take up employment, business or schooling while in Tonga on a visitor’s visa. The Tonga visa fee is TOP 70. The visa fee payment must be made at the border/airport immigration officer in Tonga. No, the Tonga visa fee can only be paid on arrival to the Immigration officials at Tonga airport. There is no facility to make the payment in advance.
