Yes. Indian citizens are required to obtain a visa to travel to Jordan. There are 3 different ways in which Indian Passport holders can apply for a tourist visa to Jordan:

  • Apply for the visa at the Jordan Embassy in India

  • Obtain a Tourist Collective visa at the port of entry in Amman

  • Obtain a Tourist visa on arrival in Jordan

  • Before applying for a visa please check which visa type you are eligible to apply for.

Indian passport holders are eligible for visa on arrival to Jordan provided they carry all the necessary documentation:

  • Passport with at least 6 months validity & two blank pages

  • Passport size colour photograph with white background

  • Visa on arrival form (these forms are available at Jordan airport)

  • Visa on arrival payment JOD 40

  • Confirmed return flight ticket

  • Confirmation of reservation in a Tourist Resort or a Hotel.

  • Cash or TravellerCheques worth USD 1500 per person. If you plan to stay for 14 days, then it’s advisable to carry USD 2000 per person. We also recommend you carry international credit & debit cards (if available) to support your financial sufficiency.

If you are planning to avail the visa on arrival at Jordan airport, be prepared to get grilled by the immigration officers at your point of exit in India. This is common practice and hence it is best to carry all the right documentation with you along with sufficient cash.
