Myanmar Visa for Indians – Requirements & Application Process

Types of Myanmar Visas for Indians

Documents Required for a Myanmar Visa
1. General Requirements (All Visa Types)
✅ Passport – Must be valid for at least 6 months with a minimum of two blank pages.
✅ Visa Application Form – Duly filled and signed by the applicant.
✅ Recent Photographs – Two passport-sized photos (35mm x 45mm) with a white background.
✅ Flight Itinerary – Confirmed return air ticket.
✅ Hotel Reservation – Proof of accommodation for the duration of stay.
2. Additional Documents Based on Visa Type
Tourist Visa
🔹 Covering Letter – Stating travel purpose and itinerary.
🔹 Proof of Sufficient Funds – Bank statement for the last 3-6 months.
Business Visa
🔹 Invitation Letter – From a registered Myanmar company.
🔹 Company Registration – Copy of the inviting company’s business license.
🔹 Recommendation Letter – From the Indian employer, confirming the applicant’s designation and purpose of travel.
Transit Visa
🔹 Proof of Onward Travel – Valid visa for the next destination and confirmed onward ticket.
Myanmar Visa Application Process for Indians
✔ Step 1: Gather all required documents as per the visa category.
✔ Step 2: Fill out the Myanmar visa application form online or offline.
✔ Step 3: Submit the application at the Myanmar Embassy or apply online for an eVisa (if eligible).
✔ Step 4: Pay the visa processing fee.
✔ Step 5: Wait for processing (typically 3-5 business days).
✔ Step 6: Receive the visa approval and travel to Myanmar.
Important Notes for Indian Travelers
🔸 Visa on Arrival (VoA) is available only for business travelers with prior approval.
🔸 eVisa is valid for tourism and business purposes but not for long-term stays.
🔸 Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate may be required if traveling from a country with a risk of yellow fever.
