ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NORTH KOREA VISA
To be eligible for a North Korean visa, you must meet the following criteria:
- Valid passport:Â Have a valid passport with at least six months validity and at least three blank pagesÂ
- Travel insurance:Â Have travel insuranceÂ
- Good character:Â Have a clean criminal record and be of good characterÂ
- Sufficient funds:Â Have enough funds to support yourself and any dependents during your stayÂ
- Strong ties:Â Have strong ties to your home country to ensure you return after your stayÂ
- Meet health requirements:Â Meet the minimum health requirements set by the authoritiesÂ
- Obtain prior authorization:Â If you are traveling for tourism, you must get prior authorization from a travel agency registered with the State General Bureau of Tourist GuidanceÂ
You can apply for a North Korean visa through a North Korean diplomatic mission.

- Original Passport with at least 6 months validity and minimum 3 blank pages + all old passports if any
- 2 Scanned recent colour photograph. (Photo Specification);
- 2 Visa Application forms: completed and signed
- Personal Covering letter: explaining purpose of travel to the country
- Original Bank Statement: stamped & updated for last 3 months with bank seal
- Air tickets: proof of return flight tickets from and back to your home country
- Hotel reservation: proof of accommodation for your entire stay
FAQ OF NORTH KOREA VISA
No. Your North Korea visa will be issued on a separate paper and given on the day of departure.
A North Korea visa rejection or approval is at the sole discretion of the Embassy of North Korea, New Delhi. You have to accept their decision, and no appeal will be entertained or refund given.
You are granted single entry in most cases for North Korea Visas.
