ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SLOVENIA VISA

To be eligible for a SLOVENIA visa, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Valid passport

Your passport must be valid for at least six months after your intended departure from the SLOVENIA. It must also be issued within the last 10 years. 

  • Travel insurance

You must have travel insurance that covers you for at least €30,000 or $50,000 per person. 

  • Proof of funds

You must have enough money to cover your stay. The required amount depends on the length of your stay: 

  • Short-term stay: You must have €42.50, per day of your stay. 
  • Stay longer than 30 days: You must have €1,274, for your stay, plus an additional €170, for each month. 
  • Proof of accommodation

You must provide proof of your accommodation, such as a hotel booking, cruise voucher, or invitation letter. 

  • Proof of travel

You must provide proof of your travel, such as a flight itinerary. 

  • Purpose of stay

You must provide a document that confirms the purpose of your stay. For example, if you’re visiting friends or relatives, you’ll need an invitation letter. 

  • Biometric information

If you’re applying for a Schengen visa for the first time, you’ll need to provide your biometric information in person. 

You can submit a list of supporting documents with your application. You should ensure that you submit the correct documents and information, as fake documents or false information can lead to your application being rejected.

FAQ OF SLOVENIA VISA

Extending the visa does not fall within the competence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or consulates. In justified cases, the visa can be extended by the office of Aliens Police. The stay cannot be extended for the period of stay more than 90 days. More information on the extension of the visas can be obtained by the Directorate of the Aliens Police

In case of same purpose of stay, the applicant is entitled to submit both applications for Schengen and long-term visa in case the purpose of stay is employment.

The application is decided by the relevant consulate of the SLOVENIA. The processing time of the application is 15 calendar days. This time can be extended for up to 30 days and in exceptional cases for up to 60 days. The decision of the consulate is based on the presented supporting documents and the interview with the applicant.
