Yes, all Indian passport holders require a visa to visit Uganda. All visitors from India need to obtain entry visas online prior to arrival. It is the simplest and fastest way to get your visa. Once your visa application is approved, you will receive the visa approval via email directly in your inbox.

The type of visa to enter Uganda will depend on several factors such as nationality, purpose of your planned visit, and duration.

An Electronic Visa or "e Visa" is an electronically issued and stored authority for travel to The Republic of Uganda, which replaces the traditional paper visa process in most cases, relieving applicants from necessity to stand in queues in Uganda consulates or at the border.

An Uganda visa is a legal document which lawfully allows its holder to enter and stay within the country for a certain number of days as mentioned on the visa.Indians are now eligible for an eVisa.

Tourist and business single entry visas are only valid up to three (3) months upon arrival. For all the multiple entry visas, however, you can be granted validity for either six months, one year or 2 years after arrival.

There are three sub-categories: 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months.

First-time applicants can only be granted a 6-month Multiple-Entry Visa and must have proof of having traveled to Uganda at least five times within one year immediately preceding their application. They should always ensure to apply for a 6-month Multiple-Entry Visa, and they will be able to apply for a longer duration upon the expiration of the initial 6 months.

Applicants who have continually traveled to Uganda for over a year can apply for a period exceeding 6 months, specifically for 12 or 24 months. They must also have proof of continuous legal travel in and out of the country to support this.

For any application, whether for 6 months or longer, applicants must have proof of continuous travel into the country during the specified period for their application to be considered.

Anyone applying for a period beyond their qualification, if approved, will only be granted a visa for the duration they qualify for.
