Visitors to Yemen must obtain a visa from one of the Yemeni diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa countries whose citizens may obtain a visa on arrival. Until January 2010 Yemen had a visa on arrival policy for some 50 nations
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR YEMEN VISA
- Be a genuine traveler: You must have a valid reason for traveling to Yemen and good intentions.
- Have sufficient funds: You must have enough money to support yourself and any dependents during your stay.
- Have strong ties to your home country: You must have strong ties to your home country that ensure you will return after your stay.
- Be of good character: You must have a clean criminal record and be of good character.
- Meet health requirements: You must meet the minimum health requirements set by the authorities

*DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (Scanned copies):
- Original Passport with at least 6 months validity and minimum 3 blank pages + all old passports if any
- 2 Scanned recent colour photograph. (Photo Specification);
- 2 Visa Application forms: completed and signed
- Personal Covering letter: explaining purpose of travel to the country
- Original Bank Statement: stamped & updated for last 3 months with bank seal
- Air tickets: proof of return flight tickets from and back to your home country
- Hotel reservation: proof of accommodation for your entire stay
- Income Tax Returns/Form 16: for last 1 year

The visa will be stamped on your passport.
The Embassy of Yemen in New Delhi is responsible for Yemen visa approval or rejection. If your application is rejected or is granted for a shorter period, the authorities’ decision is final. Travellers are advised to submit all necessary documents when applying for the visa.
